Track 4: Sharing of Benchmark Practices based on AASHPI Survey on Faculty Loading and Initial Effects of K to 12 Program

Over the last two years, there has been several seminars that tackled the effects of the transition in education. Most of the concepts on how to address these issues have been discussed extensively. One asks, what are the actual experiences that schools face in their operations and processes? What are the initial effects of K to 12 in terms of employees displaced? This learning session on sharing of benchmark practices on faculty loading and initial effects of K to 12 depicts the actual scenarios schools faced in this educational transition.   

At the end of this session, the participants will be equipped with current practices of schools in the following areas: 1) teachers’ loading across levels; 2) actual challenges experienced in the implementation of K to 12; and, 3) impact in the schools of this transition.  Furthermore, participants will learn the:

  1. Industry standards in faculty loading and its impact on the organization;
  2. Actual effects of the K to 12 program to schools and how they be addressed; and
  3. Benchmark practices as baseline in establishing competitive edge for their schools.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Dr. B’julah Q. Silva is currently the Corporate HRD Director of Perpetual Help System-DALTA and JONELTA Group of Companies. She is currently the AASHPI VP for Internal Affairs and was an AASHPI President for 2014-2015 and a pioneer member since AASHPI was organized in 1999.  She has more than 20 years of solid experience in the field of Human Resources particularly in the academe.
