COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Compensation is a very important driver for employee retention. There are two viewpoints to consider in the creation of the compensation package. First is the employees’ viewpoint: Compensation is a major source of their job satisfaction and it is equally important that they receive what compensates to the effort, sacrifices, and work that they pour into their job. Second is the management's viewpoint which ensures that the pay they provide to their employees yields high returns and at the same time contributes to the achievement of their organization's objectives. These two viewpoints should go hand in hand. It helps the institution continue to attract and retain quality employees and maximize the human capital investment. A well-designed compensation and benefits structure can attract and motivate employees to add value to an organization, thus, maintaining a competitive and sustainable advantage.
