Dear Colleagues in AASHPI,

Greetings!

We hope you and your loved ones are well and safe in this our third week under the “Enhanced Community Quarantine”, which is effectively a lockdown in the entire Luzon since its imposition on March 16, 2020 by President Rodrigo Duterte in response to the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

The last two weeks had been very challenging to all of us and under extraordinary times, kept us very busy in addressing the needs of our own institutions especially in considering decisions that would have the least impact to our workforce and to the stakeholders of our institutions, thus the silence of AASHPI.

But now that we have put in place what are necessary, we would like to take this opportunity to reach out and check on you as our valued members. So while the COVID-19 issue continues to evolve in the country, we would like to continue serving you by giving you our unwavering commitment and support you in coping with these challenging times.

As part of our academic adjustments, recovery response and assistance during this crisis, we are putting together a series of e-discussions or webinar series to serve as a cheerleading platform,  hopes to share experiences, best practices, raise issues and possible interventions to contribute to mitigating the negative impacts of the crisis. At the same time, we intend to explore opportunities from where resilience and recovery points may come from.

So watch out for the announcements soon and hope to have your usual participation.

Stay safe and healthy always.  God bless

Sincerely,

MYRNA “MIMIE” G. REYES, FPM
AASHPI President
